Medisportz Stop Bleeding Gel has found to be an effective adjunct to both first aid and minor repairs, as well as in surgery and recovery. It creates no stimulation of the wound or surrounding skin, no cell toxicity and no side effects. It seals to the wound and rapidly staunches bleeding, then slowly dissolves.

Ideal for sporting injuries, first aid packs, under stitches and in hollows and sockets after surgery.

The product is made from chemically refined fibre, with an incomparable triple styptic function. When contacting blood, it quickly absorbs it and tightly sticks to the wound. As it slowly dissolves, it activates the blood coagulation factors, passes blood platelets and forms soft solidified protein fibre.

To use, clear away surrounding blood from the wound area with alcohol. Select the appropriate size of gauze and place directly on the surface of the wound. Press lightly. Do not move the gauze - if more blood seeps through, add another gauze over the top. Leave in place , it will change in structure and form an adhering gel filling the wound cavity.

The gauze is sterilised by gamma radiation. Keep sealed until required and do not use any contained in damaged or broken packaging.

The product has strong water absorbent properties so avoid touching with water when operating.

Arterial flow should be ligatured before application.
